Quartz/Quartzite
Menu
Quartz
Quartz is a versatile industrial mineral composed primarily of silicon dioxide (SiO₂). At B2all Commo, we supply high-grade quartz/quartzite that is ideal for a wide range of industries including ferroalloys, ceramics, glass, and foundries. Our material is sourced from rich quartz belts across India and processed to meet stringent quality standards.
Industrial Significance: Quartz is essential for producing ferrosilicon, silicon metal, and refractories. Its purity and thermal stability make it irreplaceable in high-temperature metallurgical processes.
Product Variants
- Ferro Grade Quartz: Suitable for ferroalloy production due to high SiO₂ and low impurities
- Foundry Grade: Graded sand used in molds and cores for casting
- Glass Grade: High-brightness quartz used in the glass and silica industries
- Ceramic Grade: Finely processed quartz for tiles, sanitaryware, and glaze applications
Specifications
- SiO₂: 98.0% – 99.7% (as per requirement of customers)
- Fe₂O₃: < 0.05%
- Al₂O₃: < 0.3%
- Sizes: 10–50 mm (lumps), 0.1–3 mm (grains), or powder (100–500 mesh)
Applications
- Ferroalloy manufacturing (FeSi, SiMn)
- Glass and fiberglass production
- Construction chemicals and engineered quartz surfaces
- Oil well drilling and foundry sands
